Robux Prices 2026: How Much Is Robux & Should You Buy?

How much is Robux in 2026? On the Roblox website or with a gift card, $9.99 buys 1,000 Robux, while the same $9.99 in the mobile app gets you only 800. Quick answer

One Robux costs about 1 cent on the Roblox website and about 1.25 cents in the mobile app. Buying on the web, with a gift card or through a discounted top-up store gets you the most Robux per dollar. You never need Robux to play Roblox.

01Robux Prices in 2026: Every Official Package

Roblox lists each Robux package at the same price everywhere, but how many Robux you get depends on where you pay. Here are the official US packages, before tax:

Price (USD) Website, computer or gift card Mobile app or console
$4.99500 Robux400 Robux
$9.991,000 Robux800 Robux
$14.991,500 Robux1,200 Robux
$19.992,000 Robux1,700 Robux

$99.9911,000 Robux10,000 Robux
$199.9924,000 Robux22,500 Robux

Smaller packs exist too: $2.99 gets 270 Robux on the web (240 in the app), and the app sells an 80-Robux pack for $0.99. Bigger packs are slightly cheaper per Robux, down to about 0.83 cents each with the $199.99 web pack. Prices outside the US are set in local currency and vary by region, so check the Buy Robux page in your own country.

02How Much Is 1,000 Robux? Common Amounts in USD

1,000 Robux costs $9.99 on the Roblox website, on a computer or with gift card credit. In the mobile app, $9.99 only buys 800, so reaching 1,000 there means combining an 800 pack and a 240 pack for $12.98.

How Much Is 1 Robux in USD?

A Robux has two values. When you buy it, one Robux costs about $0.01 on the web and about $0.0125 in the app. When creators cash out earned Robux through Roblox's Developer Exchange (DevEx), they receive about $0.0038 per Robux, so 1,000 earned Robux pays out roughly $3.80. That gap is why "selling" Robux back is never worth what you paid.

03Why the Roblox App Gives You Fewer Robux

Apple, Google and console stores take a cut of every in-app purchase, and Roblox passes that cost on as fewer Robux per package. Roblox itself says purchases made on the website, on a computer or with a gift card can give up to 25% more Robux. On the $4.99 and $9.99 packs, that is exactly 25% extra; on the largest packs the bonus shrinks to a few percent.

Easy fix for mobile players

Even if you only play on a phone, open roblox.com in your phone's browser, sign in and buy Robux there. Robux are tied to your account, not your device, so they show up in the app straight away.

04Roblox Plus vs Premium: What Changed in 2026

If you read an older guide telling you to "get Premium for bonus Robux," that advice is out of date. On April 30, 2026, Roblox closed Premium to new members and launched Roblox Plus at $4.99 a month.

Roblox Plus Roblox Premium
New sign-upsYes, from April 30, 2026No. Existing members can keep it, but can't rejoin if they cancel
Monthly RobuxNone in the base plan; optional bundles add 500, 1,000 or 2,000Existing members keep their stipend
Bonus on Robux purchasesNoneThe 10% bonus ended May 30, 2026
Main perk10% off Robux purchases of items, rising to 20% after three straight months, plus free private serversMonthly Robux and trading

The Robux bundles cost more: Plus 500 is $8.99 a month, Plus 1000 is $12.99 and Plus 2000 is $21.99. Plus 1000 is $3 more than simply buying 1,000 Robux on the web for $9.99, so it only pays off if you spend Robux on items every month and use the discount. If you just want a set amount of Robux, buying it directly is simpler.

To compare fairly, here is the cost per 1,000 Robux for each KeyGold package against the closest official package. Prices were checked on November 5, 2026 and can change, so the Roblox top-up page always shows the current price.

How it works: KeyGold's Roblox top-up is a login top-up. After you pay, you enter your Roblox username or email, password and display name on your KeyGold order page. Our team signs in, buys the exact package you ordered and signs out, and most orders are completed within 60 minutes. Once your Robux arrives, change your Roblox password as a routine security step. If you'd rather not share account details at all, a Roblox gift card is the better choice.

Ways to "save" that cost you more

  • Free Robux generators and "Robux codes": they don't exist and are built to steal accounts.
  • Sellers in DMs, Discord or comments asking for your login with no checkout or order protection.
  • Prices that look too good to be true, such as half price or less, which often involve stolen payment methods and can get your Robux reversed.

06Should New Roblox Players Buy Robux?

Knowing the price is one thing; deciding whether to spend at all is another. The honest answer: you do not need Robux to play Roblox. Most experiences are fully playable for free, and there is no content lock that forces new players to pay. Players who don't spend usually notice slower progress in some games, fewer cosmetic options and missing convenience features, which affect comfort and pacing, not access. If you're still learning the platform, start with what kind of game Roblox is.

Buying Robux makes sense if…

  • You've found one game you play regularly
  • You care about your avatar and how you look in-game
  • You want a private server to play with friends
  • A Game Pass clearly saves you time you'd rather not grind

Wait a little longer if…

  • You're still hopping between games every day
  • You don't know what a Game Pass actually unlocks
  • You're buying because friends are, not because you want it
  • You expect Robux to make you better at a game

The lowest-risk first purchases are avatar items, private servers and one-time unlocks with clearly explained benefits: they improve your experience without deciding whether you win or lose. The most common regrets are buying a Game Pass in a game you quit a week later, and spending on hype. 07A Note for Parents: Should You Buy Robux for Kids?

For parents the real question isn't "can my child play without spending?" (they can) but "should I allow spending, and how much?" A few things help:

1

Set a monthly amount. A fixed 500 or 1,000 Robux a month is easier to manage than ad-hoc requests.

2

Don't leave a card saved in the app. Buying Robux yourself on the web, or with a gift card, keeps spending intentional and gets more Robux per dollar.

3

Use Roblox's parental controls to review your child's spending and account settings from a linked parent account.

4

Talk about scams early. Kids are the main target of "free Robux" offers that ask for passwords.

08Is Buying Robux Pay-to-Win?

It depends on the game, not on Robux itself. Some experiences sell only cosmetics or convenience, others sell faster progression, and a few blur the line. Robux never buys skill, so check what a specific Game Pass does before you assume it will help you win. We break this down game by game in Is Roblox Pay-to-Win?

The healthiest approach is simple: play first, learn how a game works, then decide. Plenty of players never spend at all, and Roblox doesn't punish patience. When you do buy, buy on the web, use a gift card, or pick a discounted top-up, and never pay app prices if you can avoid it.
