Codes are case-sensitive and each works once per account. You also need to reach Inter-Knot Level 5 before redemption unlocks. If a code fails, it has almost certainly expired or hit its claim limit — that happens fast.

Why Some Valid Codes Still Fail: Alternative Code Groups

This one catches out a lot of players and most code lists never mention it.

Many codes beginning with ZZZ belong to what HoYoverse treats as an alternative group — you can only redeem one code from that group per account. Claim ZZZ28HERO and a later ZZZ-prefixed code from the same batch will be rejected, even though it is genuinely still live for other players.

So if a code returns an error while everyone online says it works, check whether you already claimed a sibling code. It is not a bug and there is no workaround — pick the one with the better rewards.

How to Redeem ZZZ Codes

Through the website

  1. Open the official Zenless Zone Zero redemption page — or tap a code in the table above, which fills it in for you.
  2. Sign in and confirm your server region.
  3. Paste the code and submit. Rewards arrive in your in-game Mailbox.

Inside the game

  1. Open the menu in the top-left corner.
  2. Select More in the bottom-left.
  3. Choose Redemption Code and enter the code.
  4. Collect the rewards from your Mailbox.

Mailbox rewards expire after a limited window, so claim them rather than letting them sit.

Why Your Code Is Not Working

  • It expired. The most common answer. Livestream codes often last under 24 hours.
  • You already claimed a code from the same alternative group. See the section above — this is the second most common cause.
  • The claim limit was reached. Codes have a global cap and stop working once it is hit.
  • You are below Inter-Knot Level 5. Redemption is locked until then.
  • Wrong server or region. Some codes are region-locked — ZZZSUSHIRO only works on Asia.
  • Typo. Codes are case-sensitive. Tapping the links above avoids this entirely.

When New Codes Drop

HoYoverse follows a fairly predictable rhythm with ZZZ:

  • Version livestreams, every six weeks. Three codes worth 300 Polychrome total. This is the single biggest reliable drop and the codes usually die within a day.
  • Version launches. Smaller codes tied to the patch going live.
  • Collaborations and milestones. Anniversary and brand collab codes, occasionally region-specific.
  • Maintenance compensation. Not codes exactly, but Polychrome sent straight to your Mailbox after downtime — check it after any maintenance.

Version 3.1 is currently live, so the next livestream batch is the one worth setting a reminder for. Bookmark this page and we will update the table when it lands.

How Far Does Free Polychrome Actually Go?

Worth doing the arithmetic before you plan around codes. A Signal Search costs 160 Polychrome, and the guaranteed S-Rank sits at 90 pulls — roughly 14,400 Polychrome for one certain Agent.

The codes on this page total a few hundred Polychrome, which is one or two pulls. Codes are a decent supplement to daily Errands, Commissions and Shiyu Defense, but they are not a route to a specific Agent, and any site suggesting otherwise is selling something.

Free sources worth actually using

  • Daily Errands and Compendium Trials — up to 60 Polychrome a day, which outpaces codes over a month
  • Commissions — story and combat commissions pay Polychrome
  • Events and Shiyu Defense — the largest free chunks outside anniversaries
  • Inter-Knot level-ups — one-off bonuses as you progress
  • Audition Stage — free trials of banner S-Ranks, which is not currency but saves you pulling to test an Agent

Polychrome vs Monochrome: What You Actually Buy

This trips up new Proxies and it matters when comparing top-up options.

  • Polychrome is the currency you spend on Signal Searches. You earn it free from codes, Errands, events and Commissions.
  • Monochrome is the paid currency. It is what a top-up actually delivers, and it converts into Polychrome inside the game.
  • Anything advertising a direct Polychrome purchase is describing it loosely — Polychrome itself is not sold.

If free income will not cover the Agent you want, a top-up is the other option — but it is worth knowing how third-party ZZZ top-ups actually work before you order.

One option worth knowing about before you look at Monochrome packs: the Inter-Knot Membership. Unlike a one-off pack it pays out Polychrome daily for the duration, so per dollar it beats every pack tier — provided you actually log in most days. If you play a few times a month it stops being a bargain, but for daily players it should be the first purchase, not an afterthought.

UID top-up vs login top-up

HoYoverse runs an official Top-Up Centre that accepts your UID, so no login is involved. The catch is that it bills at HoYoverse's regional list price — there is no margin in it for a seller to pass on, so you pay roughly what you would pay in the game client.

KeyGold currently offers login top-up for Zenless Zone Zero. The purchase is completed from inside your account, which is what lets us source at better regional pricing and price below the client. We would rather state that plainly than dress it up: this method does require your HoYoverse email and password. If you would rather not share a login, the official Top-Up Centre and the in-game shop both avoid it at list price, and that is a perfectly reasonable choice.

If you do order a login top-up

  • Watch your email for the first 30 minutes. HoYoverse often sends a verification code when an account is accessed from a new device, and waiting on that code is the single most common cause of a delayed order.
  • Change your password once the order lands. Thirty seconds, and it closes the loop — sound practice with any service that needs a login.
  • Use a password unique to HoYoverse. If it is not shared with your email or bank, the worst case stays contained.
  • Check your login history afterwards. HoYoverse account settings show recent sign-ins, so you can verify exactly what happened.

Delivery is typically 5 to 30 minutes after payment clears, and the first-purchase doubling still applies — it is tracked by HoYoverse against your account, not against where the order was placed. Working through each Monochrome tier once before repeating any of them stretches a fixed budget noticeably further. Current pricing is on the ZZZ Monochrome packs page.

KeyGold operates as KEY GOLD PTE. LTD., a company registered in Singapore, with 24/7 support that can trace an order by its number. You can top up Zenless Zone Zero whenever you are ready.

Building the Agent you pulled matters as much as pulling her — our Jane Doe build guide covers W-Engines, Drive Discs and team pairings if you need somewhere to start.

Zenless Zone Zero Codes FAQ

Are there new Zenless Zone Zero codes every day?

No. HoYoverse does not release codes on a daily schedule — they cluster around version livestreams every six weeks, patch launches, events and collaborations. The table above shows what is live as of the date at the top of this page.

Are ZZZ codes free?

Yes, completely. They come from HoYoverse and never cost anything. Any site asking for payment, your login details, or survey completions to unlock a code is a scam.

Do Zenless Zone Zero codes expire?

Most do, and quickly. Livestream codes often last under 24 hours; event codes usually run for days rather than weeks. ZENLESSGIFT is the exception and has stayed permanently available.

Why does a working code fail for me?

Usually because you already redeemed another code from the same alternative group — many ZZZ-prefixed codes allow only one claim per account across the batch. The other common causes are expiry, a reached claim limit, or being below Inter-Knot Level 5.

What Inter-Knot level do I need to redeem codes?

Level 5. Below that the redemption option is locked regardless of whether the code is valid.

How much Polychrome do codes give?

Regular codes are typically 30 to 60 Polychrome. Livestream codes are 100 each, three per broadcast for 300 total. A Signal Search costs 160, so a full month of codes is usually one or two pulls.

Do codes ever give Monochrome?

No. Codes give Polychrome, Denny and materials. Monochrome is the paid currency and only comes from purchases, though it converts into Polychrome in-game.

Are ZZZ Polychrome generators real?

No. Polychrome cannot be generated, and those sites exist to collect account credentials. Legitimate codes only ever come from HoYoverse channels.
