Odette Build Guide: Best Artifacts, Weapons and Teams

Casey Morgan

Odette is a 5-star Cryo Sword support released in Version 7.0, built around Stellar Glimmer reactions rather than raw Cryo damage. That distinction changes her artifacts, her goblet and how you play her — here's the build that actually works.

Odette is a 5-star Cryo Sword character released with Version 7.0 on 11 August 2026. Despite the sword, she is not a conventional on-field carry — she is an off-field support and enabler built entirely around the new Stellar Glimmer reactions, and building her like a standard Cryo DPS will actively cost you damage.

This guide covers what she actually does, the artifact and weapon choices that matter, her stat priorities, teams that use her properly, and the build mistakes that are easy to make with a character whose damage doesn't scale the way it looks like it should.

What Odette Actually Does

Odette's kit revolves around Adagio: Phantom Night Dancers. The Skill summons a Solo Dance Double that attacks nearby enemies for roughly 20 seconds. For six seconds after the first cast, the Skill transforms into Adagio: Coda at Dawn's Tolling — casting it again adds Stellar-Conduct or Stellar-Swirl damage depending on your team.

That double-cast window is the whole character. Miss it and you're playing a mediocre Cryo applicator; hit it consistently and she becomes the enabler that Stellar teams are built around.

The key thing to internalise: most of her value is Stellar Glimmer reaction damage, not raw Cryo damage. Reaction damage scales with ATK and Elemental Mastery, not with elemental DMG bonus. This single fact changes almost every build decision below.

Odette Artifact Sets

Heart of the Furnace — best in slot

This is her set in almost every situation, Stellar-Conduct and Stellar-Swirl alike. The 4-piece raises the wearer's ATK when they trigger or deal Stellar Glimmer reaction damage, and — the important part — boosts Stellar Glimmer reaction damage for the whole party. It works while she's off-field, which is exactly where she'll be.

Note that the party-wide portion doesn't stack across multiple wearers. If a teammate is already running it, Odette should take something else.

Disenchantment in Deep Shadows — second choice

Her better option for personal damage in Stellar-Conduct teams, and the natural pick when someone else on the team already holds Heart of the Furnace.

Main and sub stats

Piece Main Stat Why
SandsATK%Drives both her summon and her A4 buff
GobletATK%Not Cryo DMG — reaction damage ignores it
CircletCRIT Rate / CRIT DMGBoosts her off-field damage

The Cryo DMG goblet trap: it looks correct for a Cryo character and it is wrong for this one. Her damage comes from Stellar Glimmer reactions, which elemental DMG bonus does not affect. Run ATK%.

Sub stat priority:

  1. ATK%
  2. CRIT Rate / CRIT DMG
  3. Elemental Mastery
  4. Energy Recharge — enough to reliably Burst, no more

Elemental Mastery is worth more than it first appears. Once she's around 3,000 ATK, additional EM sits close behind additional ATK in value — so don't discard EM rolls on otherwise good pieces.

Odette Best Weapons

Weapon Rarity Notes
Whitelake Frostfeather5★Her signature. ATK and CRIT, a Stellar Glimmer damage bonus, and Energy restoration that eases her Energy Recharge requirement
Azurelight5★Strong general-purpose alternative if you have it
Emberwell4★Elemental Mastery and ATK plus a Stellar Glimmer damage buff — the closest budget match to her kit
Finale of the Deep4★Large ATK contribution from both the passive and the secondary stat

Worth saying plainly: her signature weapon is not required. It's her best option for personal damage, but the gap over a well-built Emberwell or Finale of the Deep is small — and since most of her contribution is the party-wide buff rather than her own numbers, that gap shrinks further in practice. Pull the weapon banner because you want it, not because the build needs it.

Talent Priority

Elemental Skill ➔ Elemental Burst ➔ Normal Attack

Talent Priority Reason
Elemental Skill★★★★★The summon and the Stellar recast both live here
Elemental Burst★★★★☆AoE Cryo damage, secondary to the Skill
Normal Attack☆☆☆☆☆Skip it entirely — she barely touches the field

Her Normal Attack genuinely does not need levelling. Unlike most characters where it's merely low priority, Odette's rotation involves almost no on-field attacking, so Crowns and books spent there are wasted.

Her ascension passives are what make ATK stacking correct in the first place — the A4 in particular converts her attack stat into a Stellar Glimmer damage bonus for the team, which is why ATK% appears on both her Sands and her Goblet.

Odette Team Compositions

Stellar-Conduct core

Odette Stellar-Conduct team composition in Genshin Impact

Odette + Sandrone + Yae Miko + Escoffier

Sandrone takes the field time and the Stellar-Conduct damage, Yae supplies Electro application and off-field damage, Odette enables and buffs the reactions, and Escoffier fills the last slot with Cryo support and healing. Alyosha is the swap for Escoffier when the team wants dedicated Stellar-Conduct support and Electro application over healing.

Flexible carry variants

Alternative Odette team compositions with Stellar-focused carries

Odette slots into any team built around a Stellar-focused carry. The names that come up most:

  • Cyno — Electro carry for Stellar-Conduct lines
  • Wriothesley — Cryo carry benefiting from her application and buff
  • Yumemizuki Mizuki — Anemo carry for Stellar-Swirl variants

Snezhnaya is still rolling out, so the Stellar roster is thin by design. Expect the team list to widen through 7.x — she is currently the only dedicated sub-DPS support for these reactions, which is most of the argument for pulling her.

Rotation

Odette Skill ➔ recast within 6s ➔ Burst if available ➔ swap to carry

The recast window is the part people drop. After the first Skill cast you have roughly six seconds to use Adagio: Coda at Dawn's Tolling — that second press is where the Stellar-Conduct or Stellar-Swirl damage comes from, and skipping it costs a meaningful chunk of the rotation.

Her summon persists around 20 seconds, so open with her rather than closing with her. Get the double-cast down, Burst on cooldown if your Energy Recharge supports it, and give the rest of the window to your carry.

Common Odette Mistakes

1. Running a Cryo DMG goblet

The single most common error. It's the intuitive choice for a Cryo character and it's the wrong one here — Stellar Glimmer reaction damage doesn't scale off elemental DMG bonus. ATK%.

2. Building her as an on-field DPS

She holds a sword and has a Burst, so it's a natural assumption. Her value is off-field application and a party-wide buff; treating her as the carry wastes both.

3. Missing the Skill recast

Casting once and swapping out skips the Stellar damage entirely. If you take one habit from this guide, make it the double-press.

4. Levelling her Normal Attack

Not just low priority — genuinely pointless. Those books and Crowns belong on her Skill.

5. Doubling up on Heart of the Furnace

The party-wide portion doesn't stack. If a teammate already runs it, move Odette to Disenchantment in Deep Shadows.

6. Over-stacking Energy Recharge

Build enough to Burst reliably and stop. Past that threshold, every point is ATK or CRIT you didn't take — and her Skill matters more than her Burst anyway.

Odette Upgrade Materials

Full investment to Level 90 with maxed talents needs Cryo gems, Snezhnaya regional and enemy drops, Charity talent books, a weekly boss material, three Crowns of Insight and a substantial Mora bill.

MoraMora5,377,500

The Mora line is the one that bites. Five million-plus for a full Level 90 build with maxed talents is more than most accounts have sitting around, and it's the usual reason a freshly pulled 5-star sits at talent level 1 for weeks.

If you're pulling her and want to build her the same week, Mora and Hero's Wit are the bottleneck rather than the ascension drops. Free Genshin redeem codes hand out both, and if you're topping up for the banner anyway, our guide to what's worth buying covers which purchases stretch furthest — or you can go straight to Genesis Crystals for her banner.

Is She Worth Building?

If you have a Stellar carry, yes — she's currently the only dedicated support for these reactions, so she's closer to required than merely good. If you don't, she does very little: a Cryo applicator with a buff you never trigger isn't worth the resin.

The pull decision is a separate question from the build one, and it turns mostly on Constellations — C2 is a real powerspike and worth more than her signature weapon. We break down each Constellation and the pull maths in the Odette pull value guide.

FAQ

Is Odette a DPS or a support?

A support and off-field sub-DPS. She wields a sword and has a Burst, which makes her look like a carry, but her value is Stellar Glimmer enabling and a party-wide reaction damage buff. Building her as an on-field DPS wastes most of her kit.

What is the best artifact set for Odette?

Heart of the Furnace in nearly every case — it raises her ATK and boosts Stellar Glimmer reaction damage for the whole party, and works off-field. If a teammate already runs it, the buff doesn't stack, so switch Odette to Disenchantment in Deep Shadows.

Should Odette use a Cryo DMG goblet?

No. Run ATK%. Her damage comes from Stellar Glimmer reactions, and reaction damage doesn't scale off elemental DMG bonus. This is the most common Odette build mistake.

Do I need Odette's signature weapon?

No. Whitelake Frostfeather is her best option, but the gap over Emberwell or Finale of the Deep is small — and since much of her contribution is a party buff rather than personal damage, that gap narrows further in practice.

What is the best team for Odette?

Odette, Sandrone, Yae Miko and Escoffier is the standard Stellar-Conduct core, with Alyosha as the swap when the team wants Stellar support and Electro application over healing. She also fits Cyno, Wriothesley and Yumemizuki Mizuki teams.

What talents should I level for Odette?

Elemental Skill first, then Elemental Burst. Skip her Normal Attack entirely — she spends almost no time on field, so talent books and Crowns spent there are wasted.

Is Odette worth pulling?

Yes if you run or plan to run Stellar-Conduct or Stellar-Swirl teams — she's currently the only dedicated support for them. If you have no Stellar carry, she does little outside that niche and is worth skipping for now.
