Version 4.6 Phase 2 opened on October 21, 2026 at 12:00 server time, replacing Evanescia's Phase 1 rerun. Pearl's banner runs for the entire version, and Mortenax Blade returns for his first rerun. Both banners close a few hours before the Version 4.7 maintenance.

From the 4.7 update until December 23, 2026 at 05:59 (UTC+8), players at Trailblaze Level 4 or higher can claim one of Acheron, Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae or Jing Yuan for free. These three also rerun in Phase 2, so claim your free pick first, then decide whether a second one is worth your Jade. Aha herself is not free.

03HSR Upcoming Banners: Version 4.8 ZZZ Collab and Beyond

After Aha, the next big date is the Honkai: Star Rail × Zenless Zone Zero collaboration in Version 4.8. HoYoverse confirmed the two guests in the 4.6 Special Program, then revealed their HSR profiles on October 27 and 28: both are 5-star characters.

Expected release: around December 23, 2026 (December 22 on America servers), right after Aha's banner closes on December 22. HoYoverse has not given an official date yet. The 4.8 Special Program should air roughly 10–12 days earlier and usually brings three livestream codes worth 300 Stellar Jade that expire within about a day, so keep our HSR redeem codes page open on stream day.

04HSR Leaks & Satellite Characters: Who Could Be Next?

Current HSR Leaks to Treat With Caution

Free collab character

Earlier leaks said Ellen would be free; newer ones point to Astra Yao. HoYoverse has confirmed neither.

Collab Warp format

Not yet known whether Ellen and Astra Yao use the standard limited Warp (your pity carries over) or a separate collab Warp with its own counter, like the Fate collab.

4.8 reruns

No rerun lineup has been announced. Wait for the 4.8 Special Program.

Kuchiba

Rumored as a future playable character; information is limited and low-confidence.

5.X special forms

Rumored alternate forms of existing characters remain unconfirmed.

Satellite Characters Worth Watching

"Satellite character" is a community term for characters who appear in the story, trailers or official lore but have no confirmed playable banner.

Character Faction & Where Seen Overview
Opal HSROpalTen Stonehearts / IPC; main storyMajor Stoneheart with a strong story presence. Path unknown; no playable announcement.
Loretta HSRLorettaGalaxy Rangers; PVs and loreLinked to Operation Zulo. A Hunt Path is community speculation only.
Stephen Lloyd HSRStephen LloydGenius Society #84; Simulated Universe loreOne of the creators behind the Simulated Universe. No playable Warp confirmed.
Beatrice HSRBeatriceTuner-related; Planarcadia storyClosely tied to the current arc. Harmony is community speculation; nothing is confirmed.
Lancer Cu Chulainn HSR Fate collabLancer (Cú Chulainn)Fate/UBW collab; story and PVAppeared in the collab but, unlike Rin and Gilgamesh, has no playable version yet.

An NPC appearance, official artwork or a complete character model does not guarantee a future banner.

05HSR Pull Planning: Pearl, Aha & Your Stellar Jade

Between now and late December you can pull on Pearl, Mortenax Blade, Aha and six reruns, with the ZZZ collab right after. Prioritize characters who improve the teams you already play.

Pearl Now or Save for Aha?

Pull Pearl if

  • You want an Ice Elation sustain for your Elation team now
  • You have a guarantee or enough Jade for both
  • You don't plan to build around Aha

Save for Aha if

  • You can only afford one limited 5-star this cycle
  • You're under 90 pulls with no guarantee
  • Aha runs until Dec 22, so you collect a whole version of Jade first

HSR Pity Basics

90

Hard pity on character Warps (0.6% base rate)

180

Worst case if you lose the 50/50

80

Light Cone Warp pity, 75% featured chance

160

Stellar Jade per Warp

Pity and the 50/50 guarantee carry over between limited character Warps, so pity you build on Pearl or Mortenax Blade moves to Aha and the 4.7 reruns. Light Cone Warps use a separate counter, and collab Warps may follow their own rules. Always check the in-game Warp details before pulling.

Who Should Pull What?

ELATION TEAMS

Prioritize Aeon ★ Aha. Silver Wolf LV.999, Sparxie and Yao Guang are all Elation and return in Phase 1, so fill gaps there before Eidolons.

RETURNING DPS

Take Acheron, Imbibitor Lunae or Jing Yuan from the free pick first; only pull Phase 2 if you want a second one.

F2P

Finish one or two strong teams instead of spreading Jade across every banner.

MONTHLY PASS

Get team-defining characters before Eidolons and signature Light Cones.

COLLAB COLLECTORS

Keep a larger reserve until the 4.8 collab Warp rules are confirmed.

Checklist Before You Pull

1

Check your current pity count and whether your next 5-star is guaranteed.

2

Claim the free 4.7 5-star before December 23, then decide whether the Phase 2 rerun is still worth it.

3

Count the Stellar Jade still waiting in events, endgame modes and the next livestream codes.

4

Only top up the gap, and use any unused first-time double Oneiric Shard packs first.

Frequently asked questions

What is the current HSR banner?

Version 4.6 Phase 2 is live. Pearl (new 5-star, Ice / Elation) and the Mortenax Blade rerun (Fire / Nihility) are available until November 10, 2026 at 14:59 server time. Evanescia’s Phase 1 rerun ended on October 21.

Who is on the next HSR banner?

Version 4.7 starts on November 11, 2026 with Aeon ★ Aha, a new 5-star Quantum Elation character featured for the whole version until December 22. Silver Wolf LV.999, Sparxie and Yao Guang rerun in Phase 1 (until December 2), followed by Acheron, Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae and Jing Yuan in Phase 2 (December 2–22).

Is Aeon ★ Aha the same character as Nihilux?

Yes. The character players met as Nihilux in the Planarcadia story is releasing under the playable name Aeon ★ Aha. She is the first Aeon to become playable in Honkai: Star Rail, and her signature Light Cone is Upon the First Echo of “Aha”.

When is the HSR x ZZZ collab, and which characters are coming?

The Honkai: Star Rail × Zenless Zone Zero collab is confirmed for Version 4.8, expected around December 23, 2026. Ellen Joe (5-star Ice / Destruction) and Astra Yao (5-star Quantum / Harmony) are the two confirmed characters. Their kits and Warp format have not been revealed.

Will Ellen Joe be free in HSR 4.8?

That has not been confirmed. Earlier leaks said Ellen would be free and newer ones point to Astra Yao, but HoYoverse has not announced how either character will be obtained, so treat both claims as speculation.

Are Robin • Summeretto and Aventurine • Waveflair just skins?

No. They are separate playable characters with their own Combat Types, Paths, kits, and Eidolons. Robin • Summeretto is Wind Remembrance, and Aventurine • Waveflair is Quantum Elation.

Does pity carry over to the next HSR banner?

Yes. Pity and 50/50 guarantee status carry over between limited character banners, so pity built on Pearl or Mortenax Blade in 4.6 carries into Aeon ★ Aha and the 4.7 reruns. Hard pity is 90 pulls. The Fate collab Warps use their own shared pity counter.

What does "satellite character" mean in HSR?

It is a community term for a character who has appeared in the story, trailers, official lore, or as an NPC but has no confirmed playable release. A model or story appearance does not guarantee a banner.

Should I save Stellar Jade for HSR leaks?

Treat leaks as early reference only. Version placement, reruns, Paths, and even release plans can change before an official reveal. Don't skip a confirmed character you want because of a distant leak, and check your pity, guarantee, and remaining event rewards before deciding on an HSR top up.

When does the current HSR banner end?

Both 4.6 Phase 2 banners end on November 10, 2026 at 14:59 server time. That is 19:59 UTC on America servers, 13:59 UTC on Europe servers and 06:59 UTC on Asia servers.

When does HSR 4.7 come out?

Version 4.7 launches on November 11, 2026 after maintenance ending at 06:00 (UTC+8), which is still November 10 on America servers. The 4.7 Special Program aired on October 30, so its livestream codes have most likely expired.

Is there a free 5-star in HSR 4.7?

Yes. From the 4.7 update until December 23, 2026 at 05:59 (UTC+8), players at Trailblaze Level 4 or higher can choose one of Acheron, Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae or Jing Yuan for free. Aeon ★ Aha is not part of the free selection.

When does Aha’s banner end?

Aeon ★ Aha’s banner runs for all of Version 4.7, from November 11 to December 22, 2026 (server time), across both phases.

Should I pull Pearl or save for Aha?

Pull Pearl if you want an Ice Elation sustain now and can afford both. Save for Aha if you can only get one limited 5-star this cycle; her banner lasts until December 22 and your 4.6 pity carries over.
