Genshin Impact 7.0 Odette Guide: Builds, Teams & Pull Value
Odette is complete at C0, but C2 is where she jumps from good to essential. Here's what each Constellation actually does, whether her signature weapon is worth it, and the Stellar teams that make her worth pulling at all.
Odette at a Glance
Odette is built around the Stellar Glimmer reactions introduced with Snezhnaya. Her Elemental Skill summons a Solo Dance Double for off-field Cryo application, and a recast within the following window adds Stellar-Conduct or Stellar-Swirl damage. Her passive is what converts the relevant reactions into their Stellar variants — which is why she isn't optional for these teams so much as she is the thing that makes them exist.
This page is about whether she's worth your Primogems and where her Constellations sit. For artifacts, weapons, stat targets and rotation detail, see our Odette build guide.
Strengths and Weaknesses
What she does well
- Complete at C0. The party-wide Stellar Glimmer buff is fully available without Constellations, which is unusual for a support this central to an archetype.
- Long off-field uptime. Her summon persists well past her field time, so she costs almost nothing in rotation.
- Low Burst cost. She doesn't demand the heavy Energy Recharge investment most off-field supports do, freeing substats for ATK and CRIT.
- Buff plus damage. She contributes real off-field damage on top of the team buff, rather than being a pure enabler.
Where she falls short
- Useless outside Stellar teams. Her buff does nothing for Freeze, Melt or Aggravate. She isn't a flexible Cryo support who happens to be good here — she's a specialist.
- Narrow gear scaling. Elemental DMG bonus barely helps her, which rules out a lot of otherwise obvious weapon and goblet choices.
- Needs an ATK-heavy build. Her personal contribution leans on ATK and CRIT, so she's not a piece you can throw leftover artifacts at.
Constellation Value and Pull Priority
Worth being blunt about the maths, though: C2 means winning a 50/50 and then pulling her twice more. That's a realistic target for players who plan their Primogems across a patch, and an expensive mistake for players chasing it mid-banner. C0 is a complete character — treat C2 as an upgrade you take if it comes, not a goal you commit to.
Teams and Rotation
Stellar-Conduct core
Odette + Sandrone + off-field Electro + sustain. Sandrone takes the field time and the Stellar-Conduct damage. Odette keeps Cryo up off-field and carries the reaction buff. The Electro slot goes to Alyosha or Yae Miko; the last slot is healing or shielding, with Escoffier the natural pick if you want Cryo support alongside it.
This is the premium version of the archetype and the main argument for pulling Odette at all — if you own Sandrone, the two are designed to be played together.
Stellar-Swirl quick-swap
+
Odette + Anemo driver + off-field damage + sustain. The Anemo unit swirls Odette's Cryo, which her passive converts into Stellar-Swirl. Yumemizuki Mizuki is the premium option; Sucrose works as the free alternative. This is the route if you don't own Sandrone — noticeably cheaper, and still a functioning Stellar team.
Rotation
Lead with Odette rather than closing with her — the summon needs to be up before your carry starts. The recast is the part players drop most often, and skipping it removes the Stellar damage from the rotation entirely. Burst whenever it's available; her Energy cost is low enough that this rarely forces awkward Energy Recharge stacking.
Other carries she supports include Cyno and Wriothesley. The Stellar roster is deliberately thin at 7.0 launch and will widen through the patch cycle.
Should You Pull Odette?
Pull if
- You own Sandrone, or intend to build around Stellar reactions this patch cycle.
- You have a Stellar-capable carry — Cyno, Wriothesley or an Anemo driver — and no off-field Cryo unit to enable them.
- You're committing to Snezhnaya content generally. She's foundational to the region's reaction system, not a side-grade within it.
Skip if
- Your account runs classic Freeze, Melt or Aggravate teams and you're happy there — her buff contributes nothing to any of them.
- You have no Stellar carry yet. She enables reactions; she doesn't deal the damage. Enabling nothing is worth nothing.
- You're saving for a specific future banner. More Stellar characters are coming, and she'll rerun.

FAQ
Is Odette worth pulling at C0?
Yes, if you play Stellar teams. Her party-wide Stellar Glimmer buff is fully available at C0 — Constellations improve her but nothing essential is locked behind them. If you don't play Stellar teams, no Constellation level makes her worth it.
Should I pull C2 Odette or her signature weapon?
C2. It adds a party ATK buff and resistance shred that multiply across the whole team, while Whitelake Frostfeather mainly raises Odette's personal damage — the smaller half of her contribution. C2 is the better use of the same Primogems.
Can Odette be used in Freeze teams?
Not usefully. Freeze doesn't trigger Stellar Glimmer reactions, so her buff — the main reason to run her — does nothing. Shenhe or Rosaria are the better Cryo supports for those teams.
How much Energy Recharge does Odette need?
Enough to Burst every rotation and no more. Her Energy cost is low, so most builds get there without dedicating substats to it — past that threshold, every point of Energy Recharge is ATK or CRIT you didn't take.
Do I need Sandrone to use Odette?
No. Sandrone is the strongest partner, but a Stellar-Swirl team with an Anemo driver like Yumemizuki Mizuki or Sucrose works without her. Cyno and Wriothesley are also viable carries.
What artifacts and weapons should Odette use?
Heart of the Furnace with ATK% Sands and Goblet and a CRIT Circlet, paired with Whitelake Frostfeather, Emberwell or Finale of the Deep. Full detail, including the Cryo DMG goblet trap, is in our Odette build guide.
